Buy devices
The "Buy device" button (top-right of Devices) opens the catalogue. Promotienda ships you preconfigured plug & play hardware with your playlist and WiFi ready.
Catalogue
Each product shows:
- Product image.
- Title and short description.
- Price, with the original price struck-through when a discount applies.
Select a product by clicking its card.
Order configuration
- Quantity — number of devices to create. Each gets its own
RDSXXXXID. - Same address & playlist for all (on by default) — keep it ticked to fill one form for all units. Uncheck for a per-device form.
Per device
For each unit you fill:
- Device name (optional) — custom label. If left blank, auto-named
Device_YOUR_USER_RDSXXXX. - Assigned playlist (optional) — the playlist that will play on boot. Can differ per device.
- Shipping details (required):
- Recipient name
- Phone (optional)
- Address (line 1 and 2)
- City, postcode, country (EU)
- Email for shipping notification (optional) — in addition to the buyer, this email receives the confirmation.
- Configure device WiFi (optional) — tick the box and fill in SSID and password. Password can be empty for open networks. Promotienda will configure the WiFi before shipping, so the device arrives plug & play at the destination.
Summary and payment
You'll see:
- Subtotal
- Discount (if any)
- Total
- A green banner reminding: 1 year of free RDS licence included.
Click Continue to payment.
Payment step
If your company already has a default card on file, the "Pay with •••• XXXX" option appears. Click Use another card to enter a new one.
Otherwise a Stripe Elements form appears for you to enter a card.
Click Confirm payment — the system processes the charge. If the bank requires 3DS authentication, an additional popup will show.
Confirmation
When the payment completes:
- A green popup appears with the number of devices created.
- The devices show in the list as Pending shipment with user actions disabled.
- You receive a confirmation email with the invoice PDF attached and the shipping detail.
- Any "Email for shipping notification" also receives a copy with their unit's details.
"Pending shipment" state
Until Promotienda marks the order as shipped, the devices:
- Exist in the panel and consume
cf_orderbut do not consume a plan slot (they're in their free-year licence). - Have user actions (Edit kiosk, Edit, Delete, Logs) disabled — settings come preconfigured from the order.
- Admin actions (Promotienda only) remain available for support.
When marked shipped
Promotienda marks the order as shipped from the admin panel:
- User actions re-enable automatically.
- You receive a shipping email with each device's detail and destination.
- Each "Email for shipping notification" gets its own.
Cancellation / returns
Once shipped, returns aren't accepted. If you need to cancel before shipping, contact support as soon as possible.
