Downloads

The Downloads page brings together the agents you install on your hardware to turn it into a signage screen. It opens from the side menu, under the System → Downloads category.

It contains one section, Agents, with two options.

Android agent

For tablets, TV boxes and Android 5.0 or higher devices (ARM / x86).

Click Install to open the details, with:

• What does it do? — description of the PromoBrowser Android agent.
• What's new — release notes for the latest published version.
• Requirements — Android 5.0+, ~50 MB, an internet connection and unknown sources permission to install the direct APK.
• Direct APK download — downloads the current APK (no session required). Google Play appears as Coming soon.
• Previous versions — a dropdown list to download earlier releases; the current one is marked as Current.

After installing, set up the device by QR or manually — see Android agent installation.

Linux agent (Kiosk)

For Debian 12+ / Ubuntu 22.04+ machines (x86_64 / ARM64), with two modes: web kiosk and playlist. Marked as Beta.

Click Install to see:

• What does it do? and Requirements (Python 3.11+, PyQt5/QtWebEngine, root access).

• Quick install — a single command you can copy:

  curl -fsSL https://rds.digitalsignagerds.com/install.sh | bash

• After installation — start the service and open the settings:

  systemctl start kiosk-browser && chvt 7

  The settings open by typing 12345 or with 5 taps in the top-left corner; default password 0000.
